Ascending into the harsh blizzards above Hebra Peak leads players directly to the Stormwind Ark, better known as the Wind Temple in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Floating high in the skies, this giant flying vessel serves as the central dungeon for the Rito region questline. Solving its multi-tiered puzzles requires mastering vertical air movement and leveraging Tulin's gust ability to unlock five critical lock mechanisms.

Reaching the Stormwind Ark and Initial Setup

Before stepping onto the ship deck, Link and Tulin must navigate a daunting chain of floating sky islands and trampolines. Equipping cold resistance gear or consuming warming elixirs is essential to survive the freezing temperatures along the climb. Once you land on the massive vessel and interact with the central Zonai terminal, the primary objective of releasing five locks to open the hatch is revealed.

Navigating the dungeon effectively requires relying heavily on the paraglider and the updrafts scattered around the central deck. You can use the massive wind column at the center of the ship to boost Link high into the air at any time. This aerial mobility makes traveling between the deck floors and lower interior corridors remarkably efficient.

Unlocking the Upper Floor Mechanics

The first lock is easily accessible on the main deck level by heading toward the northern side of the ship. You will find a set of locked doors that can be opened by using Ultrahand to attach a nearby lever to a broken switch. Pulling the repaired lever opens the gate, allowing Tulin to shoot a gust of wind into the turbine inside.

To reach another upper lock, use the central updraft to launch high above the ship's main structure. Glide over to the highest central spires where two large metal doors cover an opening in the roof. Using Ultrahand to pull open the doors reveals a shaft that leads straight down into a chamber containing another turbine mechanism.

Navigating the Lower Decks and Sub-Level Locks

Accessing the lower decks requires leaping off the side of the ship and gliding underneath its outer hull. Search the exterior sides for open windows and broken ice walls that can be smashed with arrows or heavy weapons. Inside these icy corridors, you will encounter Soldier Constructs patrolling narrow walkways between turbine rooms.

One sub-level turbine requires solving a gear puzzle using icicles attached via Ultrahand to bridge broken rotational shafts. Another room requires using recall on spinning wheels or melting ice blocks blocking doors to access the hidden switch. Once all five turbines are activated by Tulin's wind power, return to the main hatch on the top deck to initialize the final sequence.

Defeating Colgera in the Sky

Activating the central terminal opens the hatch and summons Colgera, an enormous ice-armored centipede monster floating in the abyss. Defeating this boss relies entirely on aerial maneuvering rather than ground-based combat, requiring players to dive through ice shields or fire arrows at exposed glowing purple spots. Mastering gliders and wind currents will make quick work of the beast and reward you with a Heart Container along with Tulin's permanent vow.
